NorthernMoods collars and leashes are handcrafted in a time-honored tradition in Brabant, a province in the south of the Netherlands. Jos Aussems, the designer, was born into this tradition as the son of a shoe designer and manufacturer. Before he started his upscale pet accessories line, Jos spent many years working in the fashion industry. During this period he designed for great Italian designers and manufacturers, such as Cerruti and Valentino, where he learned to appreciate handmade and specially designed accessories. Later, Jos discovered the lack of quality products for pets and put himself to work. The combination of expertise, design and craftsmanship has resulted in NorthernMoods’ exquisite collars and leashes.
