Bark Vineyards Fine Wine for the Canine and Feline

When you hear the words  Fine Wine for the Canine perhaps the first question that comes to mind “Is this really a wine?”  The answer is “No”.   Manufactured in a FDA approved facility using only human grade ingredients,  Bark Vineyards makes a premium au-jus, designed to be poured over a furry friends meal.  With clever names such as Barkundy,  Pinot Leasheo and White Sniff-n-Tail combined with beautifully designed labels, Bark Vineyards has been quite the “in” means for the four legged members of the family to enjoy a relaxing evening drink with their human companions.  The beauty of the labels has created a demand by can be seen to wine collectors and art lovers.    There is a strong resemblance to the namesake of the corporation Sophie Rose, the CEO, (Canine Executive Officer)  found on each of the unique and whimsical labels. 

Operations began in early 2004 borne of a dream by proprietor Kathleen Ramsey.  She embarked (pun intended)  on creating a healthy and fun au-jus or gravy for dogs presented as a fine wine.  She first introduced  the 2005 Barkundy bottled in a 750 ml wine bottle which was actually water designed to be flavored with an attached seasoning packet.  Those days quickly vanished along with the seasoning packets.   The 2006 was a new, tastier formula  produced in a FDA approved facility (rather than the kitchen of the Ramsey house).   2007 saw the introduction of the newest varietal, White Sniff-n-Tail.
