Amberhill was founded in 1997 to fill a market void in high-end Equestrian accessories. Growing up competing on the Hunter / Jumper circuit, Kristy Dukelow was inspired by the time-honored and century old Baker Horse Blanket, made famous on the horsey set. Today, it is this blanket and it’s widely recognized tartan in which all her Baker goods are made from. Her horses have always worn Baker and now her husband, friends, family and dogs wear Baker too! Kristy has continued catering to the Hunter / Jumper, Dressage, Polo, Foxhunting and Thoroughbred Racing scenes designing luggage, travel goods, accessories and outerwear for this niche clientele for 10 years. But it was her beloved Pug “Bear” who led her to design a collection for dogs in 1999.  Today Amberhill ships traditional goods for dogs to all 50 states, Europe and Japan – because “where there are horses, there are dogs”!

Timeless and traditional, her goods present well in both traditional - to the most contemporary of surroundings. “We consistently offer the same core items for the Consumer who collects our pieces and then, seasonally introduce new designs”. The mainstays of her collection for dogs include her best-selling Baker Dog Beds, Baker Dog Blankets ( exact replicas of the horse blanket ), Baker Tailgate / Car Blankets, Baker Pet Totes and her Inlaid Collars & Leashes. Her best-selling leather collars include “Bridle Path”, “Mississippi Croc” and the very Equestrian “Clincher” collars.

Though spending much of her time South of the border, Kristy lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband Eric, her Cavalier “Peri”, Doberman “Hunter” and Ragdoll “Kobe Kat”. Her much loved show hunter “Bailey” is enjoying retirement in Southampton, NY.
